This data is of Noise Abatement Notices served by Nottingham City Council using powers contained in the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Section 79(g) and Section 80).
It is possible, with reasonable certainty, to cross reference this data with Statutory Nuisance investigation data to identify the Noise type and the Premises type.
Where a single notice has been served on an address on a given date it the noise source may be either a business premises or a residential property with a single occupant.
Where two Notices are served on an address on a given date it is likely to be a residential property with two adult occupants.
Where multiple Notices (3 or more) are served on an address on a given date it is likely to be for noise from a property with multiple occupants e.g. a student household.
This resource is licensed under the Open Government Licence.
